Support player Xpecial claimed the release was due to differences between Chaox and TSM's midlaner Reginald however after Wildturtle's impressive performance with TSM, every member of the team agreed they would rather have WildTurtle play instead of Chaox. On March 25, 2013, Chaox was released from Team SoloMid and replaced by WildTurtle. With TSM, Chaox placed first in several online and offline events and became one of the most well-known AD Carry players in the world. At first, he was Team SoloMid's support player, but then after Locodoco's departure from SoloMid, Chaox became the starting AD carry, a position he would hold for over two years. He was recruited to Team SoloMid in January 2011 after playing with and against Reginald in solo queue.

After the announcement of the Season 1 prizepool, he stuck with the game. He first played League of Legends during the beta, but disliked it at first, feeling it wasn't up to par with DotA. League of Legends Career TSM Era and Departure Ĭhaox first started gaming at the age of 3 on the SNES, and later on became a semi-competitive player in Dota, World of Warcraft, and Heroes of Newerth before becoming a professional League of Legends player. After his departure from Team SoloMid, Huang moved back to his home in New York. While playing for TSM, Huang lived in the TSM gaming house, first in New York and later in California.

At the age of 13, his family moved again to Long Island, New York. Shan ' Chaox' Huang was originally born in Chengdu, China and lived in Nanjing, China until the age of seven, when his family moved to Montreal, Canada.
